HOLIDAYS AND TRADITIONS

 * Describe your favorite holiday in your country.

My favorite party in Colombia is the Barranquilla carnival, which is celebrated every year with comparsas parades and many other things where people dress in a very colorful way and listen to music like Mapalé la cumbia and among others that represent us. we also use a lot of foam. and cornstarch. 

 One of the most important events that is celebrated on these dates are the battle of flowers, the guacherna among others where the most consumed are chuzos and arepas.

* Which celebration do you prefer? Christmas or NewYear? Why?

I prefer Christmas because they are the dates in which I can celebrate with my whole family and we can decorate the whole house and we can also share a delicious dinner and open the gifts that the son of God brings.

* What differences do you find between Barranquilla's Carnival and Rio de Janeiro's?

The differences between the Carnival of Barranquilla and that of Rio de Janeiro are:

* Rio de Janeiro's carnival

- lasts 7 days.

-The dances they present are samba.

- It is a parade with a lot of order.

* Barranquilla Carnival

- lasts 4 days.

- His popular dance is the cumbia, the garabato and the mapale.

- Parades are very messy.
